MPAC Renovation

The McKinney Performing Arts Center (MPAC) is undergoing an exciting renovation that honors the past while preparing the historic courthouse theater for the future. This renovation is designed to preserve the building’s architectural integrity while introducing modern amenities and safety upgrades, approved by the Texas Historical Commission.

This long-term investment will restore many original architectural details while introducing modern updates to elevate the overall guest experience.

When complete, MPAC will continue to serve as a cherished cultural landmark.

While MPAC will be closed, annual downtown events will continue as scheduled. During construction, public access to the building and restrooms will be restricted, and parking on Tennessee Street will be affected. Construction began Feb. 2, with an estimated completion in December 2026.
